Journey to the far reaches of the Pacific Ocean, where blue-green islands, pink-hued atolls, and coral reefs thrive with a dizzying array of wildlife and tropical beauty. “Ocean Paradise” offers a glimpse into remote islands, the challenges their ecosystems face, and how conservationists are working to preserve the pristine environments vital to our planet’s health.
Through breathtaking footage, the film highlights the critical role the marine national monuments play in combating environmental threats like climate change, rising sea levels, ocean acidification, overfishing, and plastic pollution. It also delves into the storied histories of the Palmyra Atoll, Midway Atoll, and Rose Atoll, from their significance in World War II to their ongoing environmental recovery and scientific research.
Meet iconic animals along the way, such as dolphins, fish, sharks, crabs, and whales, and encounter a variety of protected species.
