Kamin Science Center is getting flipped upside down this holiday season! Step into a world where science meets the supernatural, and nostalgia reigns supreme. At 21+ Night: Stranger Science, you’ll uncover the mysteries of the mind, explore strange creatures, and party like it’s 1985.

  • Get whisked away into a world of fantasy with a live Dungeons and Dragons show by Knights of the Arcade.
  • Mind over matter? Discover the real science of telekinesis with Dr. Greg Siegle from the University of Pittsburgh.

  • Rock out to live acoustic covers of your favorite ’80s hits by J/K Duo.

21+ Night: Monster Murder Mystery

Fri., Oct. 10
6 p.m.-10 p.m.

At the Frankenstein wedding, one of the monstrous guests was murdered – and we need your help to solve this mystery! Use real forensic techniques to find the culprit while celebrating all things spooky season at Kamin Science Center. Come in costume and enjoy lots of treats!

  • Sip on some spooktacular themed cocktails!
  • Roam of all five floors of the museum kid-free!
  • Try out some forensic methods, like fiber analysis, toxicity, and fingerprinting.
  • Catch a Halloween-themed science show in one of our theaters!
  • Compare what you’ve seen on TV to real life Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) procedures with Dr. Lyndsie Ferrara of Duquesne University.
  • Learn about the origins of monster lore from Dr. Marcie Persyn of University of Pittsburgh.
