Members of Carnegie Museums ages 65+ are invited to enjoy Senior Social: Breakfast and a Movie featuring “D-Day: Normandy 1944” presented at Kamin Science Center’s Rangos Giant Cinema.
On June 6, 1944, the largest Allied operation of World War II began in Normandy, France.
Yet few know in detail exactly why and how, from the end of 1943 through August 1944, this region became the world’s most important location.
Discover how D-Day changed the world through exploring history, military strategy, science, technology, and human values. Blending multiple cinematographic techniques, including animation, CGI, and stunning live-action images, “D-Day: Normandy 1944” pays tribute to those who gave their lives for our freedom… A duty of memory, a duty of gratitude.
Seating is “first-come, first-served” with breakfast from 8–10 a.m. and the film beginning at 10 a.m.
Reserve early–this event will sell out! Suggested for members ages 65+.
