Our high-energy Live Shows combine theater, science, and spectacular demonstrations to spark curiosity and bring big STEM concepts to life right before your students’ eyes.

Basics to Blastoff!

Grades 1–8; Science Stage, located on the 1^st Floor.

We embark on a thrilling journey through the realms of science and technology. NASA’s Space Launch System rocket is playing a key role in the future of deep space exploration and the Artemis program. Explore the simple machines that are the foundation for this project and meet engineers making this future possible here on Earth.

Cloudy with a Chance of Chemistry!

Grades 2–8; Works Theater, located on the 4^th Floor.

Students dive into the science of weather and climate through the lens of chemistry! This engaging new program explores how chemical reactions shape the atmosphere and influence the forecast we experience every day.

Frankenscience

Grades 4–8; Works Theater, located on the 4^th Floor.

Step into Mary Shelley’s classic tale and uncover the real science that inspired it! This theatrical presentation features live electricity demonstrations and dramatic effects – including loud sounds, flashing lights, and fog – as students help bring Frankenstein’s monster to life.

Freeze

Grades 1–6; Works Theater, located on the 4^th Floor.

Students explore solids, liquids, and gases through exciting experiments – including the chilling effects of liquid nitrogen – in this hands-on science demonstration.

Make Some Noise!

Grades Pre-K–1; Works Theater, located on the 4^th Floor; Great program for Early Learners.

Early learners explore how sound travels by listening to animal calls and playing musical instruments in this hands-on, sensory-rich experience.

Physics Smash Lab

Grades 7–12; Science Stage, located on the 1^st Floor.

Students take physics to the limit as they investigate forces and motion through high-energy demonstrations that make science unforgettable.

Science of Hockey!

Grades 1–8; Science Stage, located on the 1^st Floor.

Jump in the game as a coach or player, and apply cryogenic chemistry, bowling ball pendulums, and reaction time testing to improve team performance. From reaction time to ice quality, dynamic science and math demonstrations will help you bring this ragtag team all the way to the Stanley Cup!

The Sound of Science

Grades 2–5; Science Stage, located on the 1^st Floor.

Students explore how we hear the world around us by learning about the anatomy of the ear and the science of sound in this engaging auditory adventure.

Grades 7–12; Works Theater, located on the 4^th Floor.

Students explore static electricity, magnets, and electrical charge in this electrifying show – featuring a one-million-volt Tesla coil that lights up the room with sound and sparks!

Zoo Plus Two

Grades Pre-K–1; Science Stage, located on the 1^st Floor; Great program for Early Learners.

We are building a zoo! Early learners will help our “zookeeper” use math and science to learn about different animals. Learn shapes as we build homes for the animals, and sing as our zoo comes to life.
