The United States Submarine Veterans Association, Pittsburgh/USSVI Requin Base chapter, will perform a Tolling of the Bells ceremony for all lost submarines and have both a color and honor guard onboard. The event will end with a “Taps” bugler, 21-gun salute, and wreath/flower petal laying ceremony. This memorial service is free to the public and is viewable on the River Trail in front of USS Requin (SS 481).

Located on the Ground Floor at the Science Center’s staircase and lobby, USS Requin Gateway enhances the submarine tour by offering military and Cold War history while also including submarine-based content for those unable to board the ship.
